Wheelwash Exhibits Eco-Friendly Equipment at Hillhead 2016

10-07-2016

As the UK’s leading wheel wash manufacturer, Wheelwash Limited, will be exhibiting at its 11th consecutive Hillhead exhibition which is taking place in Buxton from 28th to 30th June 2016. Hillhead is the largest exhibition of its kind in the world, showcasing quarrying, recycling and construction equipment in a disused limestone quarry. The bi-annual event is the must-attend show in the calendar and will see over 450 companies exhibiting, a full timetable of working demonstrations, all of which are expected to attract in excess of 17,000 visitors. Wheewash will be exhibiting one of our range of eco-friendly, high performance wheel cleaning system on stand H13. The Rhino Ecowash Extra Clear system, which is unique to Wheelwash, will be on show, comprising a robust, 6m wash platform, new design cylindrical primary tank with automatic sludge removal technology, the highly effective Ecoclear lamella clarifying system and a pump house / header tank that contains top quality pumps and controls. The system is automatically operated, delivering a targeted, high pressure spray at vehicle tyres, treads, wheel arches and chassis. It is supplied with a number of clever and unique features that make it very easy to use and is low maintenance. In addition, the Rhino Ecowash Extra Clear boasts the most impressive eco-credentials of any wheel washing equipment currently available. The main wash pump is inverter-driven, which provides limitless flexibility of wash power that brings with it, significant savings in water and power consumption. The cylindrical primary tank facilitates the removal of the most challenging site material by means of an automatically opening valve. This can be set to open after a set number of washes or at different times of the day or week. Keeping the recycling tanks clean help improve the effectiveness of the wash by enabling clean, recycled water to be used to clean the wheels. Automating the removal of silt and sludge from this chamber means that operators can get on with our own tasks rather than having to monitor the sludge accumulation in the recycling tanks. The super reliable Ecoclear lamella clarifier is as effective as 12 conventional settlement tanks in a row by virtue of the honeycomb lamella blocks that sit inside the tank. They provide a huge surface area upon which the suspended solids from the wash water can settle. The dirt particles then collect in the hopper at the bottom of the tank for easy, manual removal when required. Silt removal by this method requires no mechanical or moving parts, so it will never break down. The hopper can be factory fitted with an automatically opening valve, or it can be retrospectively fitted onto existing units.
