Wheelwash awarded The Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2016

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious business awards, given only to companies or individuals who are outstanding in their field. Wheelwash have been awarded this incredible accolade for International Trade, due to the significant growth and success in export trade over the last three years. For over 25 years, Wheelwash has been providing energy efficient and environmentally friendly wheel cleaning systems, which effectively prevent site vehicles and mobile plant spreading dirt and debris onto public roads. From their head office in Crewe, Wheelwash design and manufacture a large range of automatically operated, high performance wheel cleaning equipment, and is at the forefront of wheel wash design, incorporating many unique features. All products are manufactured in the UK by skilled and trained fabricators, using high quality steel. The company has built on its initial focus in Europe and now boasts an established agent representation in numerous countries across the globe. International trade has soared with an increase of 88% since 2013, in a very specialised market area, and it wins the Queen’s Award for International Trade for outstanding overseas sales growth. Wheelwash’s Export Co-ordinator, Christina Duarte stated, "Such a high level of hardwork and investment has been given to developing our network overseas with experienced agents in various countries, in addition we created our corporate website in 11 versions of language to service the growing global requirement. Our continuing product innovation enables us to address the needs of many industries and latest projects have included complex installations at Tata Steel, India - Thyssenkrupp, Brazil and Arcelor Mittal, Spain". This award will no doubt secure Wheelwash as a leader in wheel wash systems across the world. Managing Director of Wheelwash, Ian Jolly commented, "This award marks the success and innovation from such an outstanding team of people at Wheelwash. We are incredibly proud of this accolade and it will further cement our impeccable reputation in the UK and overseas". Mr Jolly will visit Buckingham Palace in July this year for the awards, to coincide with the Queen’s 90th Birthday celebrations.
