Weightlifter acquires Aero UK

Leading tipper maker Weightlifter Bodies has purchased Aero UK Ltd in a move which will further enhance its already comprehensive range of products and services for the tipping and bulk transport industries. Aero UK Ltd. distributes Aero Industries sheeting systems and trailer accessories throughout the United Kingdom. The company was established in 2000 as an installation centre for hydraulic equipment but quickly diversified into sheeting systems, which have become its lead product. Aero UK Ltd. distributes Aero Industries sheeting systems and trailer accessories throughout the United Kingdom. The company was established in 2000 as an installation centre for hydraulic equipment but quickly diversified into sheeting systems, which have become its lead product. The existing Aero UK staff will transfer to the main Weightlifter site in Scunthorpe. Weightlifter Managing Director David Thomson said: “The addition of Aero UK to the Weightlifter Group means we are able to offer customers high quality sheeting systems, fitted on-line. A choice of air or electric operation is available and there are versions to suit virtually every application, including coil carriers. All have been proven to be very reliable in service and best of all Aero Industries covers are lightweight which means bigger payloads.” Weightlifter expects to sell up to 700 systems a year and they will be available for all Weightlifter and PPG products.
