Drivers CPC Policy Funds Benefits for Bacton Transport

10-03-2015

As part of the company’s progressive approach to the training and development of its LGV driver workforce, Bacton Transport has completed all training requirements for the new Drivers CPC and now boasts a 100% qualified workforce, well in advance of the September deadline. “We committed to the scheme very early” says Edward Downie, Director, “and decided we would fund the training as well as allowing our drivers the time-off to take courses during normal working hours at our cost.” “The firm’s commitment has paid dividends as we now have a fully trained workforce who are both skilled at their job and value the investment by the business in their future. We are very fortunate - our staff turnover is only 10% which is one reason why we are able to maintain high levels of service to our clients.” The company has confirmed the policy of funding Drivers CPC will continue for the next qualifying period up to 2019, offering existing employees and new recruits a valuable opportunity to build their careers in the transport industry.
