digicentral - centralising your Tachograph Driver Card and VU data The whole concept of being able to send data to a central server from any of our hardware is woven around a central piece of software called digicentral. digicentral is the glue that sticks it all together. digicentral is the method by which our hardware can communicate over the Internet. We use our own proprietary and highly efficient Protocol which ensures that packets of data can be consistently and safely sent even over poor quality connections. We encrypt the data for additional security. All of the inefficiencies of using HTTP or email are dispensed with in favor of a more efficient method particularly suited to Binary files. The data is sent intact with all of the necessary signatures. Our products will send to any Host and do not have to pass through third party servers. All the leading Data Analysis Bureaus have integrated the core of digicentral so that their customers can use our hardware and pass data straight into their systems for analysis. It is important to note that it is only obligatory for digipostpro, digipostV and digiDL to communicate with digicentral. Products such as digivu, digivu+, digicard, digiBLU and digifobpro can be used independently or in conjunction with digicentral. digipostpro is available in two types; a LAN based version and a GPRS version.
