Scot Seats utilise SKYDEX for Survivor Seats on RNLI Severn class lifeboat

Scot Seats have designed and built replacement seats for the survivor space of RNLI Severn class lifeboats. Since 1996, lifeboat volunteers from the wild Atlantic to the North Sea have relied on Severn class lifeboats. A programme of life-extension refits will give Severn crews a range of crucial new equipment, including many safety enhancements. The new gear will be housed in the original hull, making the vessel fit for another two decades of lifesaving. About the RNLI The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) charity saves lives at sea. RNLI volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts. The RNLI operates 238 lifeboat stations and around 240 lifeguard units on beaches around the UK and Channel Islands. The RNLI is independent of Coastguard and government and depends on voluntary donations and legacies to maintain its rescue service. Since the RNLI was founded in 1824 its lifeboat crews and lifeguards have saved more than 143,100 lives.
