EAST AYRSHIRE COMPANIES JOIN FORCES TO SUPPLY TO LONDON FIRE BRIGADE.

East Ayrshire based company Scot Seat Group has just announced a new contract supplying to the locally based specialised fire & emergency vehicle manufacturer Emergency One. Emergency One, established in 1989, currently has a workforce of over 120 employees. With an excellent reputation within the UK and European markets, Emergency One has become a leading specialist fire & emergency vehicle manufacturing company. The new order is to supply to the London Fire Brigade and Scot Seat Group will be manufacturing the seats for these new vehicles. Scot Seat Group, a family run company, was established in 2000 and employs 52 people at their facility in Fenwick. They have designed specialist seats for this particular order. The seats sit on a base that has both height and tilt adjustment as well as fore & aft adjustment to allow flexibility of the seat position for the occupants. The fire engine seats also have specialist back rests to allow for maximum comfort for the fire crews as well as a 3-point seat belt. All seats are trimmed in Toughtec material which has been chosen for its waterproof and anti-slip qualities as well as being hard wearing to cope with the extreme treatment the seats will get when in full operational mode.
