Icecraft are very pleased to announce that we have been awarded the Welsh Water Refrigerated Vehicle Tender with an order of 37 vehicle conversions. Our product exceeded both the high quality and innovative demands of Welsh Water and we were selected above many other competitors who were also pitching for the contract. The order consists of 34 Long Wheel Base Ford Connects and 3 Ford Transit vehicles, all with chilled and ambient compartments as well as many other ancillaries fitted to customize the lining to their exact requirements. Our experience allowed us to make certain recommendations to enhance the conversion designs further, with the final result exceeding expectations. Each vehicle will be fitted with a Webasto Under-bonnet unit that will allow the vehicle’s air Conditioning to be retained which is an important concern of the team at Welsh Water. Our lining’s superior insulation levels will be used to safely transport temperature sensitive water samples throughout Wales to various testing centres and we are very much looking forward to working with everyone at Welsh Water in the fulfillment of this important fleet of vehicles.
