About Us
HL Training Services provide in centre and on-site training for mobile plant, forklift as well as HSE courses including First Aid and Manual Handling. All training is accredited by ITSSAR, the Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register whose certificates are recognised nationally.
H L Training Services are located in the South West and are accredited ITSSAR to provide forklift instructor and forklift operator training. We pride ourselves in the service and high standard of training delivered to all our clients and guarantee that we deliver the best training possible. New to our in centre training is our satellite site in Clevedon nr Bristol where we are able to deliver telescopic forklift, 360 excavator as well as mini digger training.
We are very proud of the service we offer. We have monthly centre visits from accrediting bodies, which guarantees that the centre maintains it’s professional stature and delivers training to the highest standards.
H L Training Services is an ITSSAR accredited training centre which originally began as a partnership in 1988 delivering forklift operator training run by partners Jeff Longdon and Vince Hueston. In 2003 Jeff semi-retired due to ill-health and Vince Jr then joined the company. The company became limited when Angela, Vince Seniors wife, came to the company in 2004. 2004 was also the year that we decided to introduce forklift instructor training, in addition to ITSSAR.
In 2009 Vince Jr gained his ITSSAR tutor status, this made him the youngest tutor in the ITSSAR organisation. At HL Training Services, we now have the only two ITSSAR tutors in the South West of England.
Our business has expanded from two full time instructors and 1 full time administrator to seven full and part time instructors as well as 3 full time administrative staff.
Vince Jnr has been promoted to technical director and also deals with HSE and training queries.
HL Training Services are dedicated to the further development and training of all its staff.
