Starting out in 1981 with a single lorry and D.R. Macleod driving, the company is now in its 33rd year and operates 55 large commercial vehicles, with around 90 trailers, supplemented with a dozen smaller vans for local deliveries; and employs more than 100 people throughout the Western Isles, Inverness, Skye and Glasgow – making the island-based business a nationwide company.

While the hub of the operation is in Inverness, the offices are based in Stornoway where in 1981 the company began.
