Program-controlled testers for all 12 V starter-batteries and now with printer: The starter battery still is one of the main reasons for vehicle breakdowns. To improve the breakdown statistics, the car industry requires practical battery testing units that can also be used for closed and maintenance-free batteries. A solution was worked out intensively with well-known automotive and battery manufacturers: The high-current load – a heavy start process is simulated – still is the recognized best test method for starter batteries – especially for batteries with high cold cranking current. But not only an aged battery has to be checked, also during the guarantee period one has to decide if there is a defect. It is very important for the customer, the garage and the automotive manufacturer that only really defective batteries are taken back.
