At Atkins we can offer cost effective design, development and construction management services in rail electrification which are suitable for both overhead line and conductor rail systems. Ranging from conceptual and detailed design right through to the renewal, enhancement and installation of new systems, our wealth of experience and skills can allow us to provide a comprehensive service which embraces all the E&P disciplines. Our overhead line equipment (OLE) design team are able to offer OLE design and allocation, including scheme feasibility, outline and detailed design, thanks to using dynamic computer modelling between the overhead line system and the pantograph, upgrades for existing OLE systems, major remodelling designs, and condition surveys.
