PTLLS Level 3 - 7303

PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) Level 3 is a qualification is designed for people already working or wanting to become a teacher or trainer in the learning sector teaching adults (Post Education, 16+). The course includes the underlying principles of teaching adults and enable candidates to: Adopt and Understand the theory and practice of teaching. Reflect on their own levels of experience and skills and identify areas of development. Understand the key principles of learning, teaching, assessment and evaluation. Gain confidence in their cummunication and personal skills. Have awareness of their professional roles and responsibilities as a teacher/trainer. Course Structure & Entry Requirements The course is a full-time course which is run over three days using presentations and other training aids.. Students will have a tutor whom will support them. There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, but candidates must be considering a subject for delivery and be aiming to achieve / or have achieved a qualification and experience for their subject/skill at the appropriate level. In addition, the nature of both the learning and assessment required for the qualification is such that candidates should have the ability to manage the requirements to the level of the qualification they are taking, read and interpret written tasks, and to write answers in a legible and understandable form. Evidence of this should be recorded as part of their initial assessment. Candidates will also need to be able to organise written information clearly and coherently. It is good practice to embed Skills for Life personal skills i.e literacy, numeracy and ICT within the programme delivery. Support can be provided where neccessary. Candidates will be expected to have maintained and completed their continuing professional development (CPD) in accordance with regulations, where appropriate.
