Tech Line BHK Black Satin is a premium ceramic-based high-temperature coating formulated for exhaust systems, manifolds, and other metal surfaces exposed to extreme heat. Withstanding temperatures of over 2000�F (1093�C), this coating provides outstanding thermal protection and corrosion resistance when fully cured. Designed to air-dry and cure with operating heat (700�F for one hour), it creates a durable satin-black finish with excellent adhesion. Its ceramic structure effectively reduces radiant heat, making it ideal for performance vehicles, race applications, and turbo systems. For best results, avoid rich or lean start-up conditions before the coating is fully cured, as early heat spikes may damage the resin system. Clean thoroughly using acetone, lacquer thinner, or similar non-petroleum solvents. Allow to dry completely. Application: Spray a thin, even coat (0.001"-0.0015") using an airbrush or touch-up gun. Avoid heavy build-up. Do not apply a second coat once dry. Dry & Cure: Air-dries in minutes. Install and cure in place using exhaust heat: idle or drive gently for ~60 minutes, or until no smoke/vapor is visible. Ensure good ventilation during curing.
