Project: Windmill Hill
***As access to this domestic property was along a minor road the size of crane was limited.*** The crane had to be within range which meant it would stand on a slope - in short you can't have cranes operating on a slope. A fast and temporary solution is needed to keep the crane level and secure. There can be absolutely no movement from the supports to ensure a safe lift. The support sleepers must be exactly in place to spread the weight of the crane's jacks correctly and evenly. Provision is made to let the crane drive into place before the jacks are used, this must be level and straight. Accuracy and care are essential. If the supports are not even the crane will be unstable and unsafe. Careful measurement and placement mean the lift went without a hitch.Visit the MRI London website for more information on Project: Windmill Hill
