Samarium Cobalt Rod Magnets

Samarium cobalt (SmCo) rod magnets are a strong, cylindrical magnet with a thickness that�s equal to or larger than their diameter, meaning they generate extremely high levels of magnetism from a fairly small surface pole area. Because of their greater magnetic length, samarium rod magnets have a high Gauss value - a type of measurement used to determine the intensity of a magnetic field. They also throw their field much further than other shapes of magnets, making them great for reed-switch and Hall-effect sensor-based security systems.
