Driver Hire website collects National Award

24-01-2020

A revamped website has helped Driver Hire – the leading transport & logistics recruiter – treble monthly candidate applications and, in the process, both recruit and find work for even more drivers. Its success attracted the attention of the 2019 Franchise Marketing Awards’ judges, who crowned it ‘Best Website’. “People are the ‘raw material’ of our business. Our website is a vital business tool; its primary purpose is to attract jobseekers.” says Richard Owen-Hughes, Group Marketing Director. “A regular flow of quality candidates is essential to our continued success – and our site is delivering that. Our message to customers is equally clear. They will see that we are true specialists, and the best people for them to talk to when they need quality logistics staff.” A key focus of the website’s redesign was to streamline the user experience for drivers, making the process of finding and applying for a job as simple as possible. “Analysis shows that 80% of all online applications to Driver Hire are via mobile – perhaps unsurprising given the nature of our workforce,” Richard continues. “So our revamped site is fully responsive and mobile compatible. A single click takes candidates to a list of live job opportunities. Once they’ve created an account, one more click enables them to apply for any job.” Another feature comes thanks to Driver Hire’s close collaboration with Indeed, the UK’s biggest online jobsite. Every job posted on driverhire.co.uk automatically appears on Indeed.co.uk, making the website a really efficient recruitment resource for Driver Hire’s nationwide network. Commenting on Driver Hire’s winning website the FMA judges said: “This site seamlessly serves two distinct audiences – those looking for staff and those looking for work – helping Driver Hire grow their business.”
