Vehicle Pre-Use Checks

CheckedSafe replaces the paper based daily vehicle check by allowing drivers to complete a Vehicle First User or Vehicle Pre-use check via an App on their smart phone. This improves the efficiency of the check process. Once submitted the check results are sent in real time via email and are viewable on the CheckedSafe Workforce Management (CWM) suite. Checkedsafe uses the GPS on the driver’s mobile device to pin point their location when they carry out the daily walk around check. The map location is included in the resulting report. Checkedsafe has several DVSA recommended checklist’s however, all checks can be made bespoke. In fact, a checklist can be created for any vehicle or piece of equipment. Checks can be conducted regardless of wi-fi connection or phone signal. All checks are stored on the device and uploaded automatically to the Checkedsafe Workforce Manager when the driver is in signal area. Designed for Android and Apple mobile devices, Checkedsafe also runs on tablet (Android) and iPads and is also available on the Tom Tom platform. We use the mobile device’s motion sensors to track the driver’s movements as they undertake the check, which ensures that the check is accurately being completed and you can see the driver moving around the vehicle. Once data is recorded on the Checkedsafe App, it cannot be altered in any way as it is a fully secured service. There is a proven saving on removing the paper based vehicle defect reports and going digital, not only on the storage of all vehicle defect cards but on distribution, collection and manual data entry of each card.
