GPS tracking device
Interlink tracking systems operate on a four part process to deliver the customer with two components: a tracking device and monitoring software. Data Collection: Our tracking hardware continuously calculates its exact location using the GPS satellite constellation. When the unit detects an event has occurred or the vehicle is moving the tracking device records a system event. Data Transmission: When an event has been recorded it is transmitted to Interlink Server’s via a GPRS network. Turning Data into Information: The Interlink Server receives an event from the tracker and process the event into the tracking database. Each event has the GPS location transformed into a street address, and each location is checked for any exceptions: over speed, moving outside of allowed hours and many more. Customer Presentation: Finally the vehicles position data is displayed on the users computer to show a live location of each vehicle automatically updated every 120/60 seconds. The customer software also allows the user to look at historic data and visualise past routes taken and build reports of vehicle and fleet activty.Visit the routeMASTER website for more information on GPS tracking device
